Two Food and Beverage Innovation Centre Research Assistants, Liliana Miranda Gómez and Ma. Margarita Bianca Gaa, are among the 16 students receiving the prestigious 2024 FMI Foundation Food Safety Auditing Scholarship.
These promising individuals represent the future of food safety, and were awarded $3,000 scholarships and educational travel grants which were used to attend SQF Unites, the premier event for the global food safety and quality community.
These scholarships are extremely competitive and are based primarily on academic ability, leadership potential, motivation, and initiative, along with a passion for the food industry and the auditing profession.
Congratulations to Liliana and Bianca on your success! These two young women are amazing, dynamic and talented people who are graduating from Niagara College’s Culinary Innovation and Food Technology program in April.
